Wargaming can be an expensive hobby. The mission of Finger and Toe Models is to provide the gaming community with moderately-priced, easy to assemble cardstock terrain and models available as downloadable pdfs.
That's our target customer: the gamer who would rather play than amortize a wargames purchase, the gamer who plays for fun.
I found a beautiful resin model set I wanted. The price for the entire range was more than I paid for a week for two in Venice. I want to see the Bridge of Sighs, not sigh because I couldn't afford it. (And I did NOT want to report that big of a hobby purchase to my wife!) So, I began Finger and Toe Models. Now, I won't say, "No resin, none of the time!" but I will say cardstock is an effective alternative for the average gamer.
If you want the beauty of resin and are willing to shell out the money, fine. If your friends never, ever knock models on the floor during play, fine.
If the answer to either point isn't an unqualified "yes!" then Finger and Toes products were designed for you!
Finger and Toe Models is a mostly one person operation. I'm Glenn Williams, ex-US Air Force officer, retired Federal civil servant, game designer (Metagaming's "Artifact"),and part-time college professor and writer. I began wargaming with Avalon Hill's "Gettysburg," the version with different-sized counters, got into role playing with the "white box" original version of D&D, and science fiction gaming with Games Workshop's "Space Hulk."
